acquisition
of GT Gold Corp. (
TSXV:GTT
), part of which includes the Tatogga project which, according to the press release, “has the potential to contribute future significant gold and copper annual production.” Newmont President and CEO Tom Palmer said:
“With the acquisition of GT Gold and the Tatogga project in the highly sought-after Golden Triangle district of British Columbia, Canada, Newmont continues to strengthen our world-class portfolio. Hecla Mining Company (

released
its Q1 2021 exploration results. Highlights include the interception of high-grade gold and silver mineralization, at Green Racer Sinter, over a 1,000-foot strike length and a 1,250-foot dip extent in the Sinter Vein, as well as two new mineralized footwall structures. Hecla’s President and CEO, Phillips S. Baker, Jr., commented:

its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. The company recorded a net loss of $3,662,000, but holds a working capital amount of $94,844,000. And amid COVID-19 restrictions in Mexico, the company completed the full Juanicipio 2020 exploration program as planned in 2020, drilling 33 holes and 27,900 metres, and with full assays expected for Q2 this year.
